Our US Multinational Client is currently seeking a Head of Software Development in their new office in Galway.
Responsibilities:
- Build multi-functional teams to define, design, and solution advanced technical capabilities Relevant to our Client’s Digital Strategy
- Manage operations, financials, activity portfolio, and partners across product and Software Development teams
- Collaborate with our Clients U.S Digital Leadership to identify, prioritize, and manage strategic projects and/or initiatives.
- Enhance the Company’s brand in Ireland and operate as a global thought leader on important and relevant topics
- Lead the full lifecycle of development from concept to post-production support and maintenance of server / OS / desktop / web / mobile applications and services.
- Recruit, hire, grow, and manage top talent for our Client in Ireland
- Build and lead a team of developers, architects, and quality analysts to create measurable value and deliver software to market using industry recognized agile methodologies and best practices.
- Lead the architecture, technical design, and delivery of features and capabilities on modern technology stacks.
- Develop, measure and report success metrics – KPIs such as velocity, capacity, cost of delay, bug rates, etc.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional Software Development experience is essential as well as overall experience with large-scale project management and strategic planning.
- 6+ years of Personnel Management or Leadership roles.
- Experience in Web Development, Desktop and Mobile Applications and Services.
- Experience in Customer Facing SaaS Applications
- Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to communicate and influence effectively across a matrixed environment and all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead, grow, and develop employees within an organization, providing mentorship and developing a strong leadership pipeline.
