TechHeads is currently seeking an Information Systems Project Leader. The Information Systems Project Leader responsible for the design, implementation, support and integration of our client’s systems, and for ensuring that both internal staff as well as customers  are able to use these systems effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Systems in dealings with external developers and suppliers of all systems and platforms used to operate the service.
  • Develop a full and thorough understanding of how each of the our Client’s systems works, and how they integrate with each other and with other systems as required
  • Assist in the future design, procurement, and implementation of applications, systems and platforms that will enhance the digital presence of the service, with a focus on delivering an excellent user experience for customers
  • Assist in the review, design and implementation of business processes, and in the creation and ongoing maintenance of relevant supporting documentation
  • Manage and assist with security testing performed by external developers and other departments, and work with developers to design and deliver solutions to issues found
  • Strive to continuously improve the operation of systems, and perform proactive monitoring to guard against any degradation in performance
  • Continuously review and guarantee compliance with regards to security, privacy and data protection legislation and standards
  • Provide technical support and training to internal and external customers;
  • Staff Management including training & development needs
  • Continue to develop skills as technology changes and to enter into an agreed personal development plan
  • Scan the horizon for emerging management tools, skills, techniques and technologies, and ensure their timely introduction for competitive advantage
  • Perform other duties as required by the line manager;

Requirements:

  • Level 8 Degree in a relevant computing discipline and at least 4 years directly relevant, recent ICT hands-on experience or 6 + year’s of relevant work experience.
  • *Relevant ICT hands-on experience should include, but is not limited to:
  • Areas such as managing delivery of digital solutions, enterprise architecture, software and applications development projects involving a range of technologies and platforms covering web development,
  • Data management, database administration, business analysis/discovery, business intelligence and data analytics,
  • DevOps, enterprise architecture, technical infrastructure service design and delivery, server and client operating systems and architecture stacks,
  • Telecommunications and networking infrastructure delivery support, technical support,
  • ICT service management, operations and server support,
  • ICT/ cyber security, mobile device management, virtualisation delivery support, database and application support, cloud computing, etc.
  • Excellent organisational and change management skills and the ability to interact with staff at all levels in the organisation;
  • Strong presentation, reporting and communication skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a complex environment on own initiative, minimum supervision and to tight timelines;
  • A positive attitude with self-motivation skills
  • Driving License for Class B vehicle
