IT Support Analyst – Manufacturing

In the role, under direct supervision, you will provide technical support and advice in the department that manages and monitors systems and infrastructure operations and analyses problems or malfunctions to ensure timely resolution for Manufacturing IT Systems. You will participate in the coordination of corrective actions with Systems Engineering as appropriate, Document problems and their resolutions and ensure the operational integrity of all changes to the operational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Configuration and set up of manufacturing PCs including Installation Qualification using approved process and documentation
  • Completing GXP documentation as required.
  • Supports the manufacturing PCs ensuring the business downtime is minimized
  • Support of integration of manufacturing IT Peripheral equipment (instruments/scanners etc) and assisting in incident and problems investigations ensuring quick resolution of issues. Escalating infrastructure issues to supplier/manufacturer as required.
  • Interacts with technical support staff of hardware and software vendors as needed.
  • Responsible for account creation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for desk-side hardware support, including but not limited to PC installation, maintenance, peripheral installation, and printers.
  • Manage the control of change for manufacturing PCs and workstations and associate environments following defined Change Control Processes.
  • Responsible for administering PC Operating System Environment (e.g. Windows 7 / 10 / 11) at site in accordance with established procedures, including: account management, group management, NTFS permission management, and share management.
  • Maintains the inventory of all hardware under your control.
  • Responsible for tracking I/T Shared Services assets at the site.
  • Responsible for supporting customer and global manufacturing impacting projects on site.
  • Communicating with site users on IT advisories as required (e.g. scheduling shut downs etc… )
  • Completing development projects assigned and delivery to agreed standards and timelines.

Requirements:

  • Be technically competent with Microsoft operating systems and tools.
  • A relevant (computing) 3rd Level Diploma/Degree qualification is desirable or relevant Industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of GXP and manufacturing environments is desirable.
  • Knowledge of ITIL is desirable.
  • Have a logical ability for problem determination & resolution.
  • Personal qualities should include motivation, flexibility, initiative, and commitment
  • Ability to work in a diverse team conscious of the customers’ needs and expectations
  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • Experience in a validated/qualified environment would be beneficial
