TechHeads is partnered with the owner of some of Ireland’s best known and most visited websites. They are looking to grow their team in order to maintain and develop their product offerings, websites and apps.

This is a permanent role for a Mid-Level Software Engineer. The successful candidate will be maintaining current products as well as working on greenfields projects for one of this companies best known brands. You will be working as part of an agile team that champions a collaborative and communicative environment.

This is a hands on technical position for a Backend focused Software Engineer, primarily consisting of API integration and microservices architecture using a modern tech stack including Java and AWS. You will be expected to self-test code that you will be using to maintain and build their different products, websites and apps. Allowing you to develop a more rounded and versatile skillset.

This position offers excellent work life balance as it is fully remote in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain features and products for website/app.
• Ensure the codebase is clean, scalable and secure.
• Work with other likeminded developers as part of an Agile team.
• Work with our product, quality and site reliability teams.
• Carry out unit testing on projects.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years’ experience as a Software Engineer
• 3+ years’ experience of Back End Development – Java
• Experience Building RESTful APIs
• Experience with Databases – PostgreSQL/Mongo DB (Preferred)
• Experience with Unit Testing
• A degree or masters in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.
• Experience and understanding of MVC, IoC and ORM frameworks.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: €55,000 – €70,000 DOE
