Senior Business Analyst

€550 – €650 DOE

TechHeads is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a onsite Contract position with our Financial Services Client in Dublin City. The onsite requirement is 5 days per week.

The successful BA will act as a liaison between business and technical functions and be responsible translating and communicating across the organisation in a regulated environment to ensure delivery of the best possible solutions for internal and external users to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• “AS-IS” analysis and design of the “TO-BE” processes, data flows and operating model
• Responsible for facilitating workshops with external and internal stakeholders from across the organisation
• Support the business through gathering requirements and interpreting into Systems solutions
• Conduct Technical and feasibility analysis of existing systems and potential technology solutions
• Conduct/facilitate acceptance tests for solutions with user community, including, development of UAT test scenario and test scripts.
• Develop, deliver and evaluate process and technology training and supplemental materials
• Investigating, evaluating and making recommendations for improvements to current and new flows, processes, interfaces, procedures
• Work closely with other software development teams (internal and external), tech architects and business owners to refine requirements and translate business needs into IT solutions
• You act as a business requirements guide for your team, providing direction on use case definition, creating acceptance criteria and assisting with agile processes
• Liaise with management across the business to ensure there is always an approach of continuous improvement and implementation of best practice
• Effective documentation of relevant outputs and reports
• Keep stakeholders up to date on all activities that affects their individual goals and be a point contact for work status
• Continual focus on long term effectiveness, simplicity of solutions and appropriate controls
• Estimate projects and tasks, working closely with technical and business teams as needed
• Ensure the quality of any third-party deliveries against requirements, liaising with outsourced partners as necessary
• Be able to act as an authoritative voice-of-customer representative
• Be capable of line management of BA team members – support recruiting, mentoring, developing, inspiring and retaining great people for your team as needed

Requirements:

• 7+ years demonstrable Business Analyst experience within the insurance industry
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
• Fully comfortable working in a regulated environment
• Knowledge of Claims & Underwriting processes
• Business process modelling experience
• Workshop facilitation experience, capability to elicit requirements from multiple stakeholders through a range of methods (in person/virtual/survey) formulating and assigning actions, taking notes and providing summaries of workshop outcomes
• Ability to implement projects and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Perform detailed and critical analysis of various parts of our ecosystem as required, provide clear and concise feedback and make efficient suggestions for improvement
• Clear ability to run and manage processes efficiently, including change processes, aligning with other teams as needed
• Fluent in Agile/Scrum
• Take ownership of your work and responsibility for outcomes delivering key projects
• Work closely with leadership and peers to create product roadmaps, estimate work packages and set priorities for your teams
