Are you ready to join a dynamic and fasted paced team working on greenfield where you will drive technical innovation? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Tech Lead to guide the design, development, and implementation of bespoke tools and systems, critical to our clients’ core business processes.

In this crucial role, you will not only be a hands-on in development within the Microsoft tech stack (spanning on-prem and cloud) but also provide technical leadership, mentorship, and direction to engineers. You will be responsible for translating complex requirements into robust, scalable, and cutting-edge IT solutions, ensuring best practices and technical excellence are maintained throughout the development lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Design & Development: Guide the team in designing and developing bespoke tools, systems, and applications supporting key business processes.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Application Support & Optimisation: Oversee the support of existing applications and lead initiatives for investigation, evaluation, and optimisation.
  • Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: Work closely with software development teams, architects, and stakeholders to refine requirements and guide the team in translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Act as a key technical point of contact, liaising with management and stakeholders across the business. Keep stakeholders informed on progress, risks, and technical decisions.
  • Best Practices & Code Quality: Drive the implementation and adherence to best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing strategies, and documentation standards.
  • System Improvement & Evaluation: Lead the investigation and evaluation of current and new software, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the efficiency of resource use and the performance of delivered systems, guiding the team on optimisation efforts.
  • Reporting & KPIs: Define, track, and report on team progress, KPIs, and key objective/result metrics. Help the team define and achieve their objectives.
  • Project Estimation: Lead the estimation of projects and tasks, collaborating with technical and business teams.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (minimum 5+ years) in Microsoft .NET Development (C#).
  • Demonstrable experience leading or mentoring software development teams or projects.
  • Extensive (5+ years) SQL Server Database Development experience; experience with large datasets and data warehousing is highly advantageous.
  • Strong UI design and development skills with a deep appreciation for UX/usability.
  • Solid experience implementing Message Queue/Microservice Architecture (experience with both on-prem & Cloud-based solutions is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Message Queue Technologies (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  • Experience in Microservice Design principles, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • A thorough understanding of Web API development (RESTful services) and API gateway technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for driving technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • EU Citizenship or Stamp 4 Visa (Mandatory).
