What You’ll Do

• Architect and Deliver: Lead the design and end-to-end development of bespoke software systems tailored to complex business needs.
• Lead by Example: Be a hands-on technical leader, mentoring engineers, championing high-quality code, and promoting engineering excellence.
• Drive Optimisation: Own the continuous improvement of existing applications and systems with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Partner Across the Business: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Champion Best Practices: Establish and enforce development standards—code quality, testing, and documentation—across the lifecycle.
• Guide the Vision: Evaluate new tools and technologies, influence architectural direction, and lead technical decision-making.
• Measure What Matters: Set and track KPIs, drive performance metrics, and ensure delivery milestones are met with precision.
• Plan and Deliver: Estimate project timelines and coordinate with cross-functional teams to keep development on track.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in .NET/C# software development.
• Proven experience in leading or mentoring development teams and delivering complex software projects.
• Expertise in SQL Server and working with large datasets or data warehousing environments.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and user-centred development.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices, Message Queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka), and API development.
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A mindset geared toward innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Must have EU citizenship or a Stamp 4 Visa.
