TechHeads is currently seeking a Test Engineer to work on next-generation aircraft actuation systems. Efforts will include working across functional teams to develop test plans and procedures, oversight of testing needs and performing a variety of acceptance and qualification test executions. You will be based on site in Shannon but with the opportunity as required for some hybrid and or remote working.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create test design and planning by developing detail test plans (product level acceptance or qualification level that includes DO-160 testing), test scripts and test procedures based on technical requirements.
  • Execute manual or automated on system or product level testing.
  • Create concise reports to document test results, requirement verification, limitations, and constraints.
  • Interpreting test data to identify anomalies, failure modes and provide root causes.
  • I am working with product design and manufacturing teams to suggest improvements.
  • Working with system/requirements team to advise on testing methodology and architecture.
  • Capable of representing the test team as a prime technical contact on programs

 

Requirements

  • Bachelors, Masters or PHD Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of test experience ideally in a mechanical/manufacturing system
  • Exposure to Automotive or Aviation Industry
  • Understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory which includes but not limit to DO-160 testing.
  • Must possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts: apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment.
  • Must have strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas.
