TechHeads Year in Review

As 2025 draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year defined by growth, momentum, and collaboration at TechHeads. Over the past 12 months, our team has continued to expand, bringing in new skills, perspectives, and energy to support our clients and candidates in an increasingly competitive tech market.

Throughout 2025, we strengthened our internal capabilities across recruitment and marketing, while also recognising the progression and development of team members who have grown with the business. This expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering a high-quality, relationship-driven service and investing in the people who make that possible.
Thomas Lavin, who joined us in March, has been recently promoted due to Specialist Software Recruitment Consultant as a result of his dedication and commitment to both his clients and candidates throughout the year:
I’m excited to begin my new role and build on the knowledge and expertise I have gained so far with TechHeads. I look forward to continuing my journey here and providing our clients, partners and friends with a best-in-class service as we head into a new year. Thomas Lavin
With more colleagues set to join us in 2026, we are excited to continue building a team that is aligned with our values and equipped to support the evolving needs of the tech sector.
Earlier this month, the team came together in person to celebrate the year’s achievements. For a business that operates with a strong remote culture, it was a valuable opportunity to connect face-to-face, reflect on progress, and close out the year together.

Introducing Project-Based Resourcing (PBR)

While Project-Based Resourcing (PBR) has been part of how we’ve supported existing clients for a number of years, 2025 marked the point at which we formally introduced it as a core TechHeads service offering.
PBR provides a flexible way to embed specialist talent into your projects exactly when and where it’s needed. Whether supporting a niche initiative or a time-sensitive delivery, this approach ensures the right expertise is in place while you retain full visibility and control throughout the project lifecycle.
We manage the sourcing, coordination, and resourcing complexities, allowing your internal teams to remain focused on delivery and outcomes. By making this capability available more broadly, we’re enabling more organisations to benefit from a proven, low-friction approach to delivering complex technical projects successfully.

Insights: Sharing Knowledge

In October 2025, we launched our new blog, Insights, to share market trends, hiring advice, and perspectives on the evolving tech landscape. We are excited to continue expanding this resource throughout 2026, offering practical guidance and thought leadership to help clients and candidates navigate the tech industry.

Reflecting on the Tech Market in 2025

The tech talent market has been fast-paced and competitive this year. Our experience and market data show that the most in-demand roles include AI and Machine Learning Engineers, Cloud Architects, Cybersecurity Specialists, Full-Stack Developers, and Data Analysts & Data Scientists.
However, it’s not just about technical skills. One of the clearest trends we’ve observed is the increasing importance of soft skills—collaboration, adaptability, problem-solving, and initiative are often just as critical as the technical expertise candidates bring. At TechHeads, we’ve always emphasised cultural fit, knowing that the right candidate isn’t just someone who looks strong on paper but someone who will thrive in your team and drive success from day one.

Emerging Trends to Watch in 2026

Looking ahead, several trends are already shaping the tech landscape and the skills companies will need:
  • Agentic AI & Autonomous Systems – AI is evolving to make autonomous decisions and manage complex workflows.
  • Quantum Computing – Early practical applications are emerging in finance, pharma, and logistics.
  • Synthetic Data – AI-generated datasets enable rapid, privacy-safe scaling.
  • Web3 & Tokenisation – Enterprise-grade blockchain is maturing for digital finance and asset management.
  • Cybersecurity Automation & Green Computing – Automation and sustainability are converging to create smarter, energy-efficient IT systems.
  • Connected & Autonomous Mobility – Vehicles and drones are closer than ever to real-world deployment, creating new opportunities across the mobility sector.
These trends are shaping not just technology but the talent landscape as well. New roles, skills, and opportunities are emerging, and TechHeads will continue to be at the heart of connecting the right people with the right opportunities.

Message from Eoin Coonan MD.

As I reflect on 2025, I’m incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made at TechHeads. It has been a year defined by growth, focus, and strong collaboration with the clients and candidates we work with every day.
Building trusted, long-term partnerships with our clients remains at the core of everything we do. In a fast-moving and competitive tech market, our role goes beyond recruitment — it’s about understanding business goals, advising on talent strategy, and delivering solutions that create lasting value.
Equally important is how we engage with candidates. We’ve continued to place a strong emphasis on meaningful, personalised engagement, particularly with passive candidates who are not actively on the market but are open to the right opportunity. Taking the time to understand motivations, career goals, and cultural fit allows us to make connections that benefit both clients and candidates over the long term.
I’m also delighted by the continued growth of the TechHeads team. Expanding our team has been a key focus this year, and we have exciting plans to build further in 2026. Investing in our people ensures we maintain the high standards, insight, and service our partners expect.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are entering the year with real momentum. With a growing team, an expanding service offering, and a clear focus on partnership-led recruitment, we’re excited about what’s to come.
I want to thank our clients, candidates, and team for their trust and support — we look forward to continuing the journey together in the year ahead.

Thank You and Season’s Greetings

As the festive season approaches, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to all our clients and candidates. Your collaboration and trust make what we do possible, and we are grateful for your continued partnership. From all of us at TechHeads, we wish you a peaceful holiday season, a Merry Christmas, and a successful New Year. We look forward to connecting with you in 2026 and beyond.
